Just after the European Union has welcomed ten new member states on May
1, 2004, Austria
in the new center of the European Union will be a perfect location to
discuss current problems, developments and concepts in Vocational Education
and Training, not only for Europe, but for the world.
The organising committee has brought together sixteen cooperating
partners representing major organisations and institutions in the
Austrian Vocational Education and Training Field.
Under the conference title "Vocational Education and Training - International
Development Catalyst" delegates will be able to concentrate on four
themes:
- Vocational Education and Training - a contribution towards global
poverty reduction?
- Challenges for TVET in a greater Europe.
- Lifelong Learning and the Knowledge Economy - Implications for
VET.
- Career Development - what are the linkages with Vocational Education
and Training?
In the Programme
Committee members from all parts of the world work together to assemble
a truly unique schedule of events. Pre-Conference workshops and seminars
provide additional opportunities for professional development.
